Trust identity

Bind systems and agents to accountable, revocable identities.

Overview

Identity evidence should establish the acting system and the people responsible for it, then remain linked to every event.

  • Use a stable unique agent and organization identifier.
  • Record owner, operator, technical owner, version, and runtime environment.
  • Verify issuer, signature, audience, scope, expiry, and revocation at use time.
  • Reassess when an identity, owner, or delegated principal changes.

Production checklist

  • Keep credentials in a server-side secret store.
  • Set explicit cost, latency, privacy, provider, and regional constraints.
  • Capture route and evaluation evidence for incident review.
  • Test timeouts, cancellation, fallback, and denied-policy paths before rollout.
