Unit economics

Compare the complete cost of a successful intelligence outcome.

Overview

Useful unit economics include inference, control-plane, retry, evaluation, human-review, and operational costs relative to a defined successful outcome.

  • Choose a workload-level unit.
  • Measure success and failure consistently.
  • Include retries and escalations.
  • Preserve model and provider attribution.
  • Do not report projected savings as measured savings.

Production checklist

  • Keep credentials in a server-side secret store.
  • Set explicit cost, latency, privacy, provider, and regional constraints.
  • Capture route and evaluation evidence for incident review.
  • Test timeouts, cancellation, fallback, and denied-policy paths before rollout.
