Outcome Ledger
Keep potential, modeled, committed, and measured impact separate.
Overview
The Outcome Ledger prevents projections from being presented as realized value. Each entry should identify its evidence class, owner, measurement window, assumptions, and provenance.
- Potential: unvalidated opportunity estimate.
- Modeled: scenario output with named assumptions.
- Committed: approved target, not yet realized.
- Measured: observed result with an attributable baseline.
Production checklist
- Keep credentials in a server-side secret store.
- Set explicit cost, latency, privacy, provider, and regional constraints.
- Capture route and evaluation evidence for incident review.
- Test timeouts, cancellation, fallback, and denied-policy paths before rollout.
